Reporting to the CFO, the VP of Accounting & Global Controller will be responsible for all aspects of the statutory and external financing reporting under US GAAP, adoption of accounting standards, developing and documenting required disclosure and controls, cash management and forecasting and preparation of reports to the audit committee. The VP of Accounting & Global Controller will work directly with the Company’s external auditors and lead all the global external audit reporting requirements and own the quarterly and annual statutory public company reporting deliverables. The candidate will coordinate with other finance counterparts in various locations (Australia, US, Canada) and establish systems and processes to handle the public reporting requirements for an ASX listed entity. The successful candidate must have prior hands-on experience in public accounting and have previous experience in handling complex accounting transactions and provide guidance to the finance team for technical accounting issues. Further, the candidate will provide research and guidance for the adoption for new accounting standards and ensure compliance on all regulatory levels Responsibilities: Manage the statutory financial reporting function and ensure compliance under local (US, Canada, UK and Australia) and parent accounting standards, regulatory requirements and government reporting Lead the preparation of quarterly, half-year annual reporting to regulatory bodies Ensure timely preparation of all financial information and presentations required for quarterly and annual reports, press releases and audit committee Manage and own the year end audit as well as other special audits for the global company as necessary Manage the treasury function including cash flow forecast and develop cash management and financing strategies Assess and document the technical accounting impact and required disclosures for major transactions and audit memos Be the subject matter expert for all complex accounting issues. Research and document significant changes in accounting policies and standards and provide advice and guidance on all accounting matters Coordinate with VP of Global Tax and external parties for tax and financial planning and risk management Partner with the VP of Finance on all financial planning requirements (i.e., monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, etc.) Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or commerce CPA from public practice Experience: 10 years of progressive financial leadership role with at least 3 years in a senior level role with a publicly traded company Previous auditing experience in public practice is required Exposure to public financing reporting and disclosure experience including MD&A Experience with M&A transactions and international entity consolidation strongly preferred Strong technical, research, problem solving and collaboration skills, including strong knowledge of US GAAP and emerging accounting issues Experience in handling cloud-based accounting and planning systems, dealing with multi-currencies and a global company with multiple subsidiaries A track record that demonstrates the ability to evolve quickly, influence others and execute in a dynamic, fast paced environment Skills and Competencies Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent attention to detail Proofreading skills A critical thinker Curious and confident to ask questions and learn quickly Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple tasks Team player Always demonstrate the Keypath values – Commitment, Collaboration, Innovation and Lifelong Learning Benefits: Keypath Education provides comprehensive and competitive health, , including above-market allowances for all paramedical coverage.
